Blue ring machine taps
The VOELKEL HSSE blue ring machine taps are particularly suitable for wear-resistant steels up to 1200 N/mm² tensile strenght and for thread cutting into short-chipping stainless steels and alloyed tool steels.
Recommended application:
- Free-cutting steels, case-hardening steels, tempered steels
- Unalloyed and alloyed steels with < 1200 N/mm² tensile strength
- Rust and acid-resistant steels with a high chromium-nickel content (V4A steels)
- Graphite cast iron, malleable cast iron
- Aluminium alloys (Si > 10%)
The blue ring taps are also (conditionally) suitable for tapping into stainless steels and acid-resistant steels (VA steels) < 850 N/mm² tensile strength and titanium alloys.
