Colour ring machine taps

The VÖLKEL HSSE colour ring machine taps are optimised for specific materials and for producing precise internal threads in different materials. The colours are assigned to the corresponding materials and material groups to be processed.
Application of VÖLKEL colour ring taps:
- GREEN RING: for general use
- BLUE RING: for wear resistant steel
- WHITE RING: for stainless steel
- BLACK RING: for cast iron
- RED RING: Material from 1200 N/mm³ tensile strength
- YELLOW RING: for aluminium alloys
- ORANGE RING: for brass
For each material group, the base material, cutting geometry, rake angle, and coating of the taps are specifically matched to one another. This results in higher productivity, longer tool life and higher quality of the produced threads.
